Solar Decathlon
Summer Scholars
In 2015, with Architecture and Engineering faculty, I led Clemson
University students from both departments to enter the biannual Solar
Decathlon competition. We collaborated with the local plywood company,
Southern Pine, to develop Sim[Ply], a plywood building system made
of interlocking components each prefabricated using CNC routers and
digital cut files.
I also served as a co-director for pre-college courses on Architecture,
Urban Design, and Landscape Architecture at Clemson University. I
developed the curriculum, managed budgets, and was in charge of
designing marketing tools.
