IKI Fish/Oyster Bar #2 + #3
Tokyo, Japan 2006 – 2015
The owner of Iki is a forth-generation fishmonger at Tsukiji Fish Market
and is one of many whose centuries-old livelihood has been threatened
by social and economical changes, and by the relocation of the Market.
I traveled to Tokyo with my students in architecture, furniture,
and graphic design department at RISD and University of Georgia.
Together we designed and built two IKI Fish/Oyster Bars, diversifying
and creating new business strategy for Iki.
