Charlie Chaplin Interview
Rêverie is lucky enough to have Mr. Charlie Chaplin over to answer some of our questions! Chaplin, renowned for his work in The Kid, A Woman of Paris, and A Dog’ s Life, has been consistently making audiences laugh for over a decade.
Vees: It’ s so nice to have you here with us today, Charlie. Can you tell us anything about your new projects? Chaplin: W e are starting to play w ith sound in our m ovies. You can hear the characters talking now, instead of having a screen with the text on it. It’ s very exciting, and my coworkers seem to think so too. Vees: So Charlie, w hat’ s it like behind the silver screen? What’ s it like actually shooting the film? Chaplin: Mr. Vees, I’ ll be the first to tell you that it is absolutely bustling. Everything is always in motion, and every moment counts when we’ re acting. The actors and actresses that work with me all feel the same way, and for good reason too. With all the lights, the props, the spontaneity of it all … it’ s the rush that acting brings about that allows me to do what I do. Vees: Ah, I see. It m ust be quite hectic on set, but it’ s good to see that you manage all the chaos so well. How do you do it? Chaplin: There isn’ t much to it, really.
