Letters to the Editor

Dear Editor,
I just renewed my subscription to Rêverie. Your incredibly insightful articles make my day. Thank you for making the readers feel we belong in society. Every article published compels us working men to work harder to have a place in society.
I would just like to express my indignation at the Prohibition Act. Your columnists have said the truth about this matter! We Americans must rise up against this unlawful act. In the last issue, Al Cahaul stated excellently that Americans are entitled to a drink after work. And I say yes to this! We must protest against the government, its laws affect everyday Americans like you and me. With the Prohibition Act repealed, we Americans can once again enjoy the luxuries of life.
Sincerely, George E. Freeman
Dear Editor,
I have been a long time subscriber, but I have to say that I do not agree with your last issue. America should not stay out of Europe. It is our duty as the bringers of hope and freedom into the new world to face our problems and aid those in need. Yes, the Great War was catastrophic, but we should not allow that to hold us back from success. In fact, it should be our driving force to make sure similar disasters don’ t occur. Only when we disregard national borders and identify as people of the world, not of a nation, can we truly achieve peace and avoid devastation on this level.

Speaking of devastation, the movies are absolutely terrible! Why would anyone want to be unproductive for hours at a time? It’ s preposterous! The films that they are showing are not even very good either. I really do not understand how anyone can truly enjoy it. The popcorn and other food that the theaters serve are bland and low quality, just like the films there. It never seems real- why doesn’ t anyone want to wake up from their delusions and see reality for what it is?
Sincerely, Mynoree T.
