One of our best presidents yet, Mr. Abraham Lincoln, used to relax in taverns after long days of debates. Many of our lawmakers in Congress prepare for their speeches with a little alcohol to warm them up. One of the best remedies for lightheadedness, and a drink that doctors take to steady their hands is, of course, brandy. In fact, some of the biggest deals that have been made between business have been concluded with a signature, a handshake, and a bottle of whisky. No wise man would ever dare to take real, authoritative action to end this little luxury that has grown into one of the American necessities But one group of people, the bootleggers, have managed to grow their illegal businesses into the largest and most prosperous in the nation. Secret parties of rounds of alcohol orgies have managed to spring up everywhere around the country. At the end of the day, it seems that our government had better repeal Prohibition and bring back one of our most American traditions.
