FRI FEB 23 INDOOR & OUTDOOR WINTER FUN 4 - 8 p.m. Rutland Regional Medical Center 160 Allen Street, Rutland, Vermont THU FEB 22 WINTER OLYMPICS AT VERMONT SPORT & FITNESS 12 - 4 p.m. Vermont Sport & Fitness Club, 40 Curtis Ave. Vermont Sport & Fitness is hosting an “Olympic Games” themed family activity day with food, music, prizes and medals! Outside there will be a snowshoe course (full snow gear recommended) Kids 6 & under can bring sleds for sledding on the back hill! Inside there will be six Olympic events: Hockey, Bowling, “Curling,” Pickleball, Mini Tennis, and “Figure Skating.” Complete all events or just a few! There will be food in the lobby and music on the tennis courts to keep the energy going for our little athletes! Outside the Olympic arena will be other fun activities such as an indoor “snowball” fight, crafts and trivia. Sneakers required. Rutland Regional Medical Center will host an evening of Indoor and Outdoor Winter Fun from 4 p.m. - 8 p.m. Staff and volunteers will transform the CVPS Leahy Community Health Education Center into a winter wonderland with a variety of fun family activities including a Teddy Bear Clinic in partnership with the CHCRR, arts and crafts, cookie decorating, puppet shows by Wonderfeet Kids’ Museum, a DJ dance party, photo booths, prizes and giveaways, indoor and outdoor games and snow sculpture, with pizza and hot chocolate throughout the evening. The event is for children and families looking for some indoor and outdoor fun. Children and adults should come dressed in warm clothes, with the ability to peel off layers for indoor activities. For the Teddy Bear Clinic, children should bring their favorite teddy bear or stuffed animal to be examined by caring staff from CHCRR. Tired, sick and bruised bears or animals will be diagnosed, fixed up with bandages and sent home with prescriptions for TLC! In addition to a wide variety of indoor and outdoor activities, Rutland Regional will be giving away an array of family themed baskets throughout the evening, with a drawing every 15 minutes. Guests for the event should park in the employee parking lot at Rutland Regional Medical Center, and follow event signage. Outdoor activities will be located on the hospital grounds near the CVPS Leahy Community Health Education Center.
