Because third party apps like Yelp, OpenTable and Google Maps are an important part of our target’ s search in their consumer journey, we suggest Ruth’ s Chris put a small sign at the hostess stand to encourage customers to write reviews as opposed to a sticker on the door. Our target said they mainly write reviews on these third party apps when they have a bad experience, and we believe Ruth’ s Chris should encourage its customers to leave reviews after positive experiences as well. Because our target is heavily influenced by reviews, we also suggest that managers at specific Ruth’ s Chris locations respond to bad reviews on these apps to make their customers feel appreciated and create a more positive brand image.
