Once our target has decided on a restaurant, they may make a reservation, depending on the occasion. If they are eating with a spouse or significant other for the thrill, they may make a reservation a few hours, or a day in advance, at most. If our target is dining with a significant other or a large group for a special occasion, they are more likely to make a reservation, a few days in advance at most. For business dining, our target normally makes a reservation in order to ensure they can entertain and impress their client with no roadblocks. There was a mixed response regarding online and phone reservations. Some people preferred making an online reservation because it is easy, and others preferred making a reservation over the phone and talking to a human to make sure their reservation went through. If our target is successful in securing a reservation, they feel confident and prepared, but if they can’ t get their desired reservation time, they may feel frustrated.
