It can be used to fill hand sprays , knapsacks sprays and mop buckets . Both units work by using electricity to create ozone from air and infuse it into water .
What about the cost ? After the initial purchase price , the cost of producing SAO with the High Capacity Unit works out at about 10 pence per litre , depending on which stabilising cartridge is used . The iClean mini has an optional replacement cartridge which is recommended in hard water areas but there is no other on-going cost to using it .
What about the real world ? As a business dedicated to bringing SAO to rural enterprises Oliver and Jones have a demonstration unit which can be brought to any location in the UK to show you just how effective SAO can be . On a recent farm visit we thought it would be interesting to see how it performed on a muck-encrusted feed barrier . For such events we have an ATP ( Adenosine triphosphate – the signature of life ) tester . Initially the barrier had a reading of over 1489 and after a spraying with SAO the tester dropped to 215 and continued to fall . Bearing in mind the barrier had not been pressure washed and there were still cattle in the yard that is a spectacular result … and all done in perfect safety for operator and cattle alike .
