D. One unique things about the Scripture is the Scripture often communicates things on two levels, there’s the obvious revelation of a thing and then there’s the hidden revelation of the thing. It's called "hidden offices."
IV. EXEGESIS OF THE OTHER
FATHERING OFFICES
There are other offices in the New Testament that clearly point out spiritual fathering. Let's look at one called, "the office of the MEYO."
A. Philippians 4:12 (KJV)
I know both how to be abased, and I know how to abound: every where and in all things I am instructed both to be full and to be hungry, both to abound and to suffer need.
B. The Greek word for the word instructed here, is the word Meyo. The Meyo is actually an office of a father, who is an "instructor in mysteries."
C. Strong's Number: <G3466>
Original Word: μυστήριον, mystērion
Usage Notes: primarily that which is known to the mustes, "the initiated" (from myeō, "to initiate into the mysteries;" cp. Phil. 4:12, mueomai, "I have learned the secret."
D. In other words, this is a spiritual father called the Meyo. Those that were called the "MUSTES", were those that were instructed and trained and taught mysteries by the spiritual father called the Meyo. The students of the Meyo are the once that have been in the school of the Meyo and learned from him or her. They are sons and daughers to the Meyo, so now we have a hidden revelation of fatherhood and we an open revelation of fatherhood.
IV. EXEGESIS OF MUSTES
"Examples of Mustes"
A. Numbers 21:14-15 (KJV)
Wherefore it is said in the book of the wars of the LORD, What he did in the Red sea, and in the brooks of Arnon,
And at the stream of the brooks that goeth down to the dwelling of Ar, and lieth upon the border of Moab.
B. David
2 Samuel 1:17-18 (KJV)
And David lamented with this lamentation over Saul and over Jonathan his son:
(Also he bade them teach the children of Judah the use of the bow: behold, it is written in the book of Jasher.
C. Joshua
Exodus 17:14 (KJV)
And the LORD said unto Moses, Write this for a memorial in a book, and rehearse it in the ears of Joshua: for I will utterly put out the remembrance of Amalek from under heaven.
D. Joshua 10:13 (KJV)
And the sun stood still, and the moon stayed, until the people had avenged themselves upon their enemies. Is not this written in the book of Jasher? So the sun stood still in the midst of heaven, and hasted not to go down about a whole day.
V. EXEGESIS OF BOOK OF JASHER
A. The verses of Scripture listed above we see references to two books. One is called the book of the wars of the Lord. One is called the book of Jasher. It has been typically and historically understood that the book of the wars of the Lord and the book of Jasher are one and the same. This basically was a book written by Moses passed on to his son Joshua that gave instruction in warfare.
B. Joshua consulted this book before he stopped the sun. This in fact was Moses the Meyo passing on instruction to his spiritual son the mustes Joshua. The book remained in the earth realm around for many years even David consulted this book left by a spiritual father.
