Running On... JULY/AUGUST 2014 | Page 49

There comes a time in ministry, where the vision, assignment or demand that God has given a person to fulfill, will NOT be received. And, it does not matter what we do, what we say or how we act. It does not matter if we explain to them that it is not us, but, the Holy Spirit that is leading us to bring it to completion. The sad fact of the matter is that there will be times where we are not received.

I come here to tell you, do not be dismayed, for it says in the Word, in Galatians 6:7, “Do not be deceived, God is not mocked; for whatever a man sows, that he will also reap.” It also says in John 16:33, “These things I have spoken to you, that in Me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation; but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world.” I want you to know, that is it NOT you they are coming or rising up against, it is the God in you!!! It is the assignment, the vision and the demand that has been birthed in you, coming to fruition, before their very eyes. From this moment on, do not, I repeat, do not take it personal, just do as Jesus commanded the 200, just as He commanded the twelve, shake the dust off!!!

These twelve Jesus sent out and commanded them, saying: “Do not go into the way of the Gentiles, and do not enter a city of the Samaritans. But go rather to the lost sheep of the house of Israel. And as you go, preach, saying, ‘The kingdom of heaven is at hand.’ Heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead, cast out demons. Freely you have received, freely give. Provide neither gold nor silver nor copper in your money belts, nor bag for your journey, nor two tunics, nor sandals, nor staffs; for a worker is worthy of his food.“ Now whatever city or town you enter, inquire who in it is worthy, and stay there till you go out. And when you go into a household, greet it. If the household is worthy, let your peace come upon it. But if it is not worthy, let your peace return to you. And whoever will not receive you nor hear your words, when you depart from that house or city, shake off the dust from your feet.

If we read a little bit further in the text, we find Jesus telling them in verses 16-20, “Behold, I send you out as sheep in the midst of wolves. Therefore, be wise as serpents and harmless as doves. But beware of men, for they will deliver you up to councils and scourge you in their synagogues. You will be brought before governors and kings for My sake, as a testimony to them and to the Gentiles. But when they deliver you up, do not worry about how or what you should speak. For it will be given to you in that hour what you should speak; for it is not you who speak, but the Spirit of your Father who speaks in you.
