There are things that happen in the lives of women, tragedies, trials and tribulations have occurred and the women haven’t recovered from them. Women are getting thrust into situations and cannot hold onto and the pain from those experiences get internalized. “Celebrate Recovery” is there to assist the women in getting delivered from those hurts, habits and hang-ups.

“Celebrate Recovery" gets to the root, so that the healing can begin and the women are able to live a healthy lifestyle. There are women who come to church, sit in the pew, sing in the choir, serve on a ministry and preach. They are great people that need healing to take place in their lives.
“Celebrate Recovery” is not just about drugs and alcohol. It’s for the liars, those that have seen things happen and cussers. It’s basically, for those who haven’t recovered from life experiences. “Celebrate Recovery” hits the streets and goes to the bars, drug-infested neighborhoods and minister, witness and pass out tracts to those they come across. Elder Ward doesn’t mind preaching in the streets, because she has a heart for those in the streets and that’s where her passion is, saving those who are lost and hurting and in need of a healing and recovery.
There is a team that goes out with buckets to raise monies for the ministry. On Tuesdays nights, they have meetings on “How can I recover?” They meet to discuss how they can recover from the hurts, habits and hang-ups that have them bound.
“Celebrate Recovery” started out having meetings at Elder Ward’s house, but soon outgrew her living room, in additional to having her neighbors complain about the large number of cars parked near her house. The meetings were moved to The Spiritual Growth Center and were held Mondays, at six in the evening and Wednesdays, also at six, in the evening. Dinner is served between six and seven p.m. All are welcome, with the exception of pedophiles and murderers.
“Celebrate Recovery” is supported by the Bucket Ministry, grocery stores, New Creation Fellowship, where Bishop David and Claudette Copeland are the pastors and Fountain Christian Church, with Pastor Rickey Hooker
