My name is Marvin McCouri Agyeben, I am an incoming sophomore in college, which means, I have a whole lot of life ahead of me and I want to use my life for helping the world. I know it
sounds cliché but I am very passionate about helping others from something as small as lending
a friend money to something as big as saving one’s life; I plan to do it all. I chose to write for
Runaway due to my passion for culture. I love culture and in a way I feel culture loves me back.
I go by the alias “Noir” because I am part French and in French “Noir” means black. I’m not
on the NAACP board but I believe black is beautiful and mysterious. Not just skin color but universally speaking. I’m very confident that I am the most interesting person you know as of today. Jouir

Hello Runaway followers- first I wanted to begin by thanking you all for following our blog and the movement of culture we are trying to direct.
Second, I wanted to introduce my new weekly blog special titled “Contrary to Belief” and on this segment I will speak on the most popular opinion I have heard on the week and analysis either agreeing or disagreeing. I guess it would be easier to show than tell:
So for the first week on Contrary to Belief I will be touching on Michael Bay’s new installment to the Transformers series: Transformers Age of Extinction. Many critics and audiences have talked badly on this movie saying that the removal of Shia LaBeouf and the storyline itself hurt the film’s success. On the contrary, I believe that this movie was still a good Transformers movie. Think about it- with the battle scenes between Optimus Prime and his brigade against the new improved, manmade robots, Bay was able to successfully bring us into his world. I also commend Bay for his usage of Chicago for scenery. (I think he just wanted to blow up a very industrialized city or Bay was a Los Angeles Kings fan). The effects on the movie weren’t the greatest and the storyline between Mark Wallberg’s character (Cade Yaeger) and Nicola Petlz’s character (Tessa Yaeger—terrible acting) was all too cliché and cheesy for my liking. Yet, this movie pulled in the numbers in the box office and didn’t do TOO bad as some would say.
Personally, I would say Bay didn’t want to hold Shia LaBeouf and Megan Fox as responsible for the Transformers series’ success. Could you blame him? The same has been done as Marc Webb (Director for The Amazing Spider-Man) chose to continue the Spider-Man films with Andrew Garfield instead of Toby McGuire and the same is shown in the Batman films as Ben Affleck puts on the mask later this year, in place of Christian Bale. And that’s showbiz.
