Death & Life:
A Teenager’s Perspective
BY LUO TIANYI
SHIT HAPPENS all the time in our lives. People complain
about their life, crying about how they have bad luck, and
life sucks. But the cold hard truth is that shit will always
happen, one way or another. Just like if you own something,
you will lose something; if you meet someone, you will
have relationships; if you’re born, you will die. Death is
inevitable, and it happens around each one of us, including
teenagers. Death is a major event for teenagers to become
mature, and teenagers’ experiences of death will shape their
attitude toward future life, both positively and negatively.
There are a lot of novels about death for teenagers, because
teenager is a group that hasn’t fully developed their under-
standing of the world yet. They are still in the period of
searching and adventuring with different things, trying out
different philosophies.
