Death & Life: A Teenager’s Perspective BY LUO TIANYI SHIT HAPPENS all the time in our lives. People complain about their life, crying about how they have bad luck, and life sucks. But the cold hard truth is that shit will always happen, one way or another. Just like if you own something, you will lose something; if you meet someone, you will have relationships; if you’re born, you will die. Death is inevitable, and it happens around each one of us, including teenagers. Death is a major event for teenagers to become mature, and teenagers’ experiences of death will shape their attitude toward future life, both positively and negatively. There are a lot of novels about death for teenagers, because teenager is a group that hasn’t fully developed their under- standing of the world yet. They are still in the period of searching and adventuring with different things, trying out different philosophies.
