Micael Carvalho, CEO designer of Rug'Society, brand embeded in Covet group, based on Oporto, Portugal, graduated from Visual Communication Design, started his career in graphic and editorial design where he acquire knowledge and skills in the field. 5 years later, seized the opportunity at the Covet Group project where the challenge presented itself as something innovating and avant-garde in the Portuguese design. Started as senior designer, where he developed and dedicated himself to the brands of the group, predominantly to BOCA DO LOBO, brand for which he developed the visual communication
in luxury brands.
Surrounded by drawings, graphics and images, Micael is a designer who never stays satisfied with his job, always seeking new challenges. As creative director of visual communication of the group, Micael accepted the challenge of creating a rug brand, where he could travel in his imagination and create a concept unexplored in the rugs fieRug'Society is a brand of avant-garde design that ennoble its products through it’s manual production and appreciation of the Portuguese arts, with a very personal and intense design.
Micael and Rita Lopes (COO of the brand) developed a concept of unfolding the brand in 4 main collections - SAVAGE, MODERN, GRAPHIC and ROYAL. Inspired by the most classic influences of design, making it the central decorative element of an interiors space, every rug was thought as a key and intense piece that can designate the spirit and essence of the place where it is placed.
Micael Carvalho believes that the future of this brand is highly promising, seeing that everything around us is a source of inspiration.
