A major part of what we do is providing grassroots clubs
with a chance to highlight the work they are carrying
out with a focus on community involvement, youth
development, sound financial planning and sporting
success. The crucial role that these establishments
play in the industry cannot be overstated and they
regularly provide stories of astounding commitment,
dedication and integrity.

So now we know it is South Africa who have been crowned World Champions after peaking at just the right
time. For the home nations, England went all the way to the final, Wales made the semis and Ireland the
quarters while Scotland were blown away by the first-time hosts Japan who laid on a fantastic tournament.
On the home front, the season is now well and truly underway as we visit Stewartry RFC ahead of their 50th
anniversary celebrations in 2020. We also visit a number of clubs playing vital roles in their local communities
including Macclesfield, St Albans and Ashby.
In addition to our club features we also look at the successful link between education and rugby with the RFU’s
Mark Saltmarsh providing an insight into the work that they’ve been doing lately. I hope you enjoy the issue.
We are always keen to hear from anyone with a story to tell so whether you wish to promote a business, a club,
individuals, initiatives or products please do not hesitate to contact our editorial team at [email protected]
or call me directly on 0773 918 2106.
