The purpose of the DiSE Rugby Programme is to
support students in both their rugby development
and academic progress. DiSE is recognised as part of
the RFU player pathway and each RFU academy has
a direct partnership with an academic institution that
provides the DiSE qualification on their behalf. Bishop
Burton links with The Yorkshire Rugby Academy
(Yorkshire Carnegie).
The DiSE League is the RFUs Leading u18
competition with 14 academy teams involved,
including all Premiership academies (eg Saracens,
Leicester Tigers, and Wasps etc).
The DiSE qualification sits alongside a student’s
academic BTEC option (equivalent to three A-levels)
and a DiSE rugby student will have a unique integrated
timetable to access all academic requirements and
the 12-15 hours of rugby specific content every week.
