and am a frequent fan and supporter. I
became a sponsor through my business
relations with Paul Greening and we
have become good friends. I turned up
late for a game once and didn’t know the
score and realised that a scoreboard was
needed so I took the opportunity to help
this great club out which then developed
into other sponsorship opportunities.

to all with fabulous hospitality whilst
providing an invaluable service to their
local community. The atmosphere at

Oliver Gray is a player at Cockermouth RFC as
well as his employers Rickerby being a valuable
sponsor of the club. He recently told Rugby Club
Magazine, “I was playing for Aspatria at the time
when my old employer, a player at Cockermouth,
invited me along to the club. I received such a
warm and friendly welcome I decided to stay.
I have to say that Chris Wright our head
coach has made an outstanding contribution to
the teams and their attitude and performance
which is starting to influence and filter down to
our 2nd team. I would like to give Mark Watson a
special mention for his encouragement to me on
a personal level as well as his overall contribution
to the club.
