“I first became involved with Edenbridge after taking my two girls, Emily and Josie, down there
to play in the minis section. The atmosphere and family environment around the club was great
and the girls played for around three years. The passion for sport really stuck with them as one
of my daughters Josie now plays for Wales under 17s – albeit with the wrong shaped ball as a
footballer!
During the time we took the girls down to the club I started playing with the vets squad as a
winger, 25 years after I last played rugby in school as a prop. I had a great time there myself
going on tour and occasionally being pulled into the first team – which always hurt.
I would like to say good luck to everyone down at the club, I’m proud to have my beer behind
your bar and hope it keeps everyone refreshed after a hard game!”
