Fairford RFC is a fine example of the important role that a club can
play in their local community. Rugby Club Magazine recently caught
up with their Chairman Jonathan Chambers to find out more about
how the club has been getting along lately.
He told us, “I started in 2001 with
Fairford and it was the friendliness
of the players together with the
very social aspects of the club that
attracted me … I also lived across
the road from the pitch! Keeping
everyone happy at the club can be
a challenge and finding a place for
a permanent club house is one of
our highest priorities. The rewards
are many across the seniors and the
minis. It’s great when you see the
passion on the sidelines matching
the passion on the pitch.
