players, to get experience of senior rugby outside of the
pressurised environment of the Midlands 1 West rugby that
our 1st XV compete in. The colts won their league last season
and are close runners up this year, moreover we have seen
more than ten players come through this system to represent
the Club’s 1st XV. We aim to create pathways and opportunities
for all our members to have a positive rugby experience and
we feel that the warm but competitive atmosphere we have
created helps to achieve that goal.
We are looking to the future constantly, with our next major
milestone being the club’s centenary in 2021. We are planning
a year of celebrations to pay rightful tribute to the people who
have built our club over the years, and we are hopeful that our
current direction of travel will mean that we will continue to
succeed on and off the field of play.
Most important to us at the moment is to drive the respect
agenda across the whole club, to continue to improve the
playing and social atmosphere around a club where all are
truly welcome and made to feel a part of the Sutton Coldfield
RFC family.
