Kettering Match Day Lunches, writing editorial for our Match Day Programme, sorting out any disciplinary matters from across the whole club, all these aspects are both challenging and rewarding but as I move towards my 70th birthday I love it all!” Atmosphere “The atmosphere at the club is buoyant. The club has a very large, vibrant and enthusiastic Mini, Junior and Youth Section, which also includes a rapidly expanding Girls Section. Our Senior Section is working very hard to retain a minimum number of four sides, and we are succeeding in fielding four sides most weekends. Socially the club has always been a good place to be, and unlike many clubs we visit, we still have good numbers in the bar on a Saturday, 3 to 4 hours after the game, even when we have no ‘official’ social functions booked.” Leading distribution of automotive parts in Bedfordshire & Northamptonshire 2018 “We have had a really good year, both on and off the field. Our 1st team is challenging at the top of the league. Our 2nds are not only competing in the East Midlands Merit Table, but have also entered the Leicestershire 2nd team league, whilst our 3’s and 4’s are also competitive in their respective Merit Tables and the Vets have won all their games played so far this season. “As a fan of rugby and a supporter of the club for many years I want to congratulate everyone on a great season - long may the enjoyment and success continue!” Simon Ayres Products • Workshop Equipment • Brake Systems • Batteries • Lubricants & Additives • Service Parts Services • Air Conditioning • Alternator Testing • Diagnostics • Delivery on Demand • Misc • Tyres Not just for Batteries... www.bedfordbattery.co.uk 82 Issue 83
