Bruff youth; every Sunday morning it swarms with young kids from all ages looking to become the next John Hayes or Ronan O’Gara and its testament to all the volunteer coaches, both men and women, who give their time on a voluntary basis. The Club fields underage teams at all age groups and now also start to field girls teams at a lot of different age groups over the past number of years. Our 20s continue to provide our adult teams with a constant pipeline of players and massive satisfaction to see them coming through the system. We are one of only nine clubs who field an U20 team in Munster. The Club also prides itself on being a club that contributes to the wider game, from supplying Lions player John Hayes to international referee George Clancy to present Munster Rugby President Mr Ger Malone. The Club are very much aware of the challenges it faces going forward; balancing the books is never going to go away, keeping our senior status is a challenge. Where the AIL is going in its format remains a question and trying to grow our base and continue to develop our facilities in Killballyowen Park is another challenge. The Club would like to take this opportunity to welcome everyone to visit Bruff RFC when they are in the South Limerick surrounds and if you are a club wishing to visit on tour we will gladly try to accommodate you with a typical Bruff RFC welcome! W Griffins Coaches “I live locally and am a big GAA and hurling fan but Bruff RFC is my closest club. I have transported the club’s players and members around for many years and it’s great to see how well they are playing and particularly finishing, getting the ball down over the try line. It is a very friendly, well-respected local club who have produced many great local players who have gone on to higher things. Griffins Coaches have always tried to help the club out when they can. I would like to congratulate everyone at the club on such a great season particularly as the young people are coming through now which can only be good for Bruff Rugby Club and their many supporters.” Kevin Griffin Coach and Minibus Hire Limerick Em Based in the Ballyhoura Region of South Limerick and North Cork, we can help you organise your tour or day trip, including meals and accomodation if required.
