Bruff FOLLOW US ONLINE TWITTER.COM/RUGBYCLUBMAG The club were donated their playing ground in 1970 by the late Col o Grady and embarked on a development programme that now sees two floodlit pitches, training pitches, gym, clubhouse and dressing rooms with a perimeter walkway. I started playing in the 72/73 season and have been involved since to my current role as Club President. The big attraction the club has to offer is it’s a family club with a warm welcome for everyone once you step inside the gate, but like all clubs in a rural setting it faces many challenges keeping the club afloat financially is probably the biggest. The fact that we are rural means we don’t have any big industry to aid us but are lucky to have a number of small businesses that continue to sponsor and support us. On the playing front our senior team currently sit 3rd in our league midway through the season, and we will be hoping that we will be challenging for promotion come March/April. 2019 sees the club plan to update dressing rooms and continue with its clubhouse improvements.
