Bruff RFC was founded in 1969 by two young men
namely Mr William Conway and Mr Nicklaus Cooke,
unbelievably at the ripe old age of 19, and played their
first game in a green area behind the church that season.

Mark Nagle and Nagle’s Eurospar have had a long and
positive association with Bruff Rugby Club. Mark recently told
us, “The club is very much at the heart of the community and
is respected throughout Limerick and further afield. They are a
very friendly family orientated club and the work the coaches
and members put in on Sundays and Friday evenings has to
be congratulated.
The teams are playing some fantastic rugby this season
and with such a young side can only get better. They have
additionally produced some great players over the years and
myself and all the staff at Eurospar wish everyone at the club
the best of continued success.”
