Lyndsay Still has had a long and positive
association with the club and told Rugby
Club Magazine, “My dad Arthur was
always a great supporter of the club as
was my late ex-husband Eric. I am a
regular attender and club member with
many friends at the Wanderers who are
mainly wives of players or ex-players.
It seems the club are very much on the
upward motion and playing some really
good rugby at present. Still’s Pharmacy
have been a longstanding club sponsor
and I am one of the directors along
with my brothers Alistair and Cameron.
Cameron is an avid fan of the club and
regularly supports club events. I would
like to wish everyone at the club the very
best of continued success.”
Campbell MacKellar and his family have had a
long and positive association with Club. Campbell
told us, “My sister Mhairi and I run the family
business, Reid MacKellar Opticians, the business
was founded in 1936 by grandfather James Reid
Mac Kellar and then taken on by our dad Jimmy.”
Jimmy told Rugby Club Magazine, “I played
scrum half for the club having come from
Greeenock academy and have always maintained
a connection over the years with the Wanderers,
our long-standing sponsorship continues with the
business through Campbell and Mhairi.
Being a Saturday business meant that rugby
and work were going to clash and these days I
don’t get the chance to visit the club but receives
regular positive feedback from friends. Greenock
Wanderers have produced some great players
over the years, some I was privileged to play with
and it’s great to see the club continue its rugby
traditions. Myself, Campbell, Mhairi and staff
would like to wish everyone at the club the very
best of continued success.”
