John Sutherland of club sponsor Caithness
Stone recently spoke to Rugby Club
Magazine about his long and positive
association with Caithness Rugby Club. He
told us, “It was really through my children
that I became involved, George, who now
lives in Perth, Australia and played for
Scotland U17/18s on their South Africa
and New Zealand tour some years back
has had the biggest involvement.”
“George played mainly in the back row

in Caithness has turned out for the club
playing in some of the winter memorial
games. His level of fitness has always been
exceptional which I believe has been key to
his playing success.
“My other children Thomas, Paul, Robert,
Sarah and Caitlin have either played or
been a supporter of the club. My daughter
Caitlin is a regular down at Milbank with
my grandson Thomas who I have to say
has the look of a powerful rugby player
about him.
“The boys at Caithness have been
outstanding this season and do very well
to compete at such a high level in the
Scottish leagues, the coaches and the teams
are all a credit to the club. My business,
Caithness Stone, has sponsored the club
for over 20 years now and we are delighted
to continue our support of a great club.
Congratulations to everyone at Caithness
Rugby Club on another great season - best
of luck for the future!”
