“I first joined the club as a few of my friends were
there and started to play for them as a loose head
prop in the early nineties. I am still attached to
the club socially and have also sponsored them
for the last few years – it is nice to be able to give
something back.
The camaraderie at the club is incredible and
there is a lot of hard work going on behind the
scenes by the committee. The new clubhouse is
a key ingredient to push forward and I’m really
looking forward to next season. It is great to see
how far the club has come and I wish them the
best of luck for the future. Go Badgers!”

growing youth section they actively work to be able to host as
many teams as possible. With a long term lease in place they
are clearly well positioned for a successful long term future
and will continue to provide people in their area with an
opportunity to enjoy the game.
Felixstowe Rugby Club does a fantastic job and this is
thanks to all of the hard work that goes into making the club a
success. Their volunteers deserve tremendous credit for all of
the work that they do and with this in mind it should only be a
matter of time before they claim silverware on the field.
If they continue in the same manner then they should be
able to look forwards to a bright and successful future for
many years to come. Everyone at Rugby Club Magazine would

“I moved to the area in 1992 but played for a club in Ipswich
initially. I then played against Felixstowe and got chatting with
people at the club and joined as it saved travelling. My sons,
Ben and Alex, both now play for the club with Alex looking
like he will be a nine or a ten and I have also sponsored the
club for six years.
The whole collective is fantastic for everyone involved; this
is a really family friendly club with the benefits of rugby being
shown to boys and girls. The seniors did absolutely brilliantly
and the active youth programme has given the club more
intimacy.
I’ve coached for the past five seasons and was proud to
play back in the 90’s when we won the league. I really enjoy
having the chance to help with coaching with the emphasis
being on having fun whilst building on the core values of
rugby. Rugby helps assist in turning children in to adults
with dis cipline and teamwork and I hope to be involved with
Felixstowe for many years to come.”
