“ As a company we are always keen to support the local community and this is our first year sponsoring Bramley Phoenix . My nephews play for Bramley and I ’ ve coached the U12s since the start of the season . The U12s are doing very well this year and the kids have a great attitude . Youth development is a very important part of the club and I hope that my nephews can one day go on to play for the first team .”
Michael Havercroft , The Safety Maintenance Company
The players have always had a strong bond together as youths as have the seniors player so it was a natural progression to involve them and invite them to social occasions along with their parents .”
Challenges / Ambitions
“ The biggest challenge for us will be generating a strong youth section again and ensuring we generate players from within . I would also like to develop the club ’ s ground facilities including a new bar area / toilets and new barriers around the ground , with some new floodlights ( LEDs ) which should reduce costs
On the Rugby front , if we could develop the side to gain promotion to Yorkshire 3 and then Yorkshire 2 within a five year period that would be a great success .”

“ This is my second year sponsoring Bramley Phoenix having got involved because I wanted to put something back into the club . I started playing for the colts when I was 14 as the club is very local to me and one of the teachers played for the club . I played as the club for sixteen years as blindside flanker and was captain for five years before eventually stopping playing when I injured my cruciate ligament . I ’ ve also coached the first team and played for the vets .
I still get along to games whenever I can and keep in touch with how they are getting along . Everyone there is doing a fantastic job and long may it continue . I wish you all the best for the future .”
