Peter Keenan and his wife Katie are long term committee members at Allan Glens Rugby Club as well as being club sponsors with their business KFS Solutions . Peter recently spoke to Rugby Club Magazine about his positive association with the club , saying , “ Our house looks onto Allan Glens and both our boys , Peter and Kyle , are current players for their respective teams .
Peter who is now 15 became involved from primary one and is a winger with good hands and quick feet and Kyle , who is 11 years old , started with the rascals as a 3 year old and with his added tenacity has graduated recently to S1 .
Peter has been part of the SRU ’ s Glasgow and West of Scotlands pathways system , he has also been chosen as 1 of 30 boys to visit Perpignan in France for two weeks to enjoy and benefit from some advanced individual training sessions . It was great to see how easily the 30 boys all gelled recently when they got together ; I suppose this is very typical of rugby players and teams which seem to allow each other to connect within an atmosphere of mutual respect .
Allan Glens ’ coaches are developing not only our boys but many future stars of the game I feel . My daughter Hannah has become involved as a regular visitor to Allan Glens and can regularly be seen at my side on matchdays .
Our first XV is having an excellent season which has had a positive knock on effect on all teams and members throughout the club . I would like to wish everyone associated with Allan Glens Rugby Club the very best of success and to keep on doing what they are doing as it is definitely working !”

Stephen Kirk of club sponsor SK Joiners recently told Rugby Club Magazine , “ I am a current player at Allan Glens having come through their mini system as an eight year old . Injury has hampered me a little but I still enjoy being involved and currently I am captain of the 2nd team squad sitting top of our league .
