Cinderford RFC has been enjoying a fantastic season this time around and currently sit at the top of their league . Rugby Club Magazine recently caught up with their Director of Rugby Paul Morris to gain an insight into what has been behind their success .
He told us , “ After nineteen wins out of twenty the mood at Cinderford is particularly buoyant . The players are upbeat and with ten games left believe they are on the verge of achieving something special .”
“ Our strength has been the depth of our squad . We have used 37 players in the 20 games so far . Only two of those players have played only once . We have been able to ride out any injury crises . The fact that we run a competitive second team on a weekly basis and train together means we are fluid in our selection process and can operate ‘ a next man up process ’.
“ Beating Chinnor earlier in the campaign was vital to us . If we want to be champions we had to beat them as they beat us at Cinderford earlier in the season . We have now beaten every side in the league at least twice .
“ I ’ m not sure we really believed we could be champions until we beat Chinnor . It ’ s now in our hands and our title to lose . We know remaining
