Hunslet Club Parkside ARLFC enjoyed a fantastic year in
2017 and is now working hard to make sure 2018 is also a
success. Rugby Club Magazine recently caught up with Club
Representative Paul Thorpe to find out more.
He told us, “I have been involved
with the club for over 25 years. I have
been a member of the club from being
a child but got involved with the rugby
section when my son started playing at 6
years of age.”
“The most challenging part of my
role is trying to co-ordinate things with
all the teams’ coaches as they are all
volunteers and it is difficult to get them
together at the same time. The most
rewarding part is seeing youngsters who
have come through the club still playing
once they get to adults and representing
the club at open age level.
“The general mood at the club at
the moment is very upbeat; we had a
great season in 2 017 with the 1st team
