Their Chairman, Graham Bell recently took the time to tell us more. Involvement “I, like most of the players and committee guys at Peebles, first came into contact with the club through rugby at school, in my case that’s about forty years ago. My active involvement with the club however did not start until around twenty years ago; I had moved 70 Issue 76 away from the area with work and had played at several clubs further north before taking up refereeing when my body started to let me down a bit. I moved back to Peebles in 2000 and continued to referee for several years before becoming more involved in the club. Once again, this was via the school where I was refereeing games on Saturday mornings, the clubs Director of Rugby at the time asked me if I would be interested in helping at the club and I became the first team manager for several season before being drawn into the executive committee and eventually to my current post as Chairman. For me, rugby has almost always formed the centre of my social life and
