RUGBY FOOTBALL CLUB
Walkerburn RFC carried out a recruitment drive over the summer and
is now seeing the rewards as they enjoy a positive campaign. Rugby
Club Magaz ine recently caught up with President Kinta Lindsay to find
out more about the good work they’ve been doing lately.
Involvement
She told us, “I first became involved in Walkerburn Rugby
club about six years ago when i heard through a friend that
they were looking for someone to help with First aid for the
team. i was relatively new to the village having moved here a
few years prior and wanted to get involved and meet people.

I knew that the rugby club was one of the main institutions
within this small community having attended their Sevens
tournament.
I didn’t know at that time how well established the club
was – having been formed in 1884 and gone on to become one
of the founder members of the SRU. I received a warm welcome
at this friendly club. After being initially involved with first
