North Dorset RFC is a club built around the key principles
of teamwork, respect, enjoyment, discipline and
sportsmanship. Rugby Club Magazine recently caught up
with their Director of Rugby Greg Pearce to find out more.
Involvement The Role
He told us, “I first played at North
Dorset in 1986 at the start of colts. The
reason for playing here was it was, and
remains, a family friendly club and
many of the players in the team were
either school friends or people I knew.” “As Director of Rugby, the most
challenging part of my role is to make
sure that all players from the age of 6 to
50+ enjoy playing and keep returning
each week. When you watch each age
group play a game and they come off
with big beaming smiles, you know

that all the work that is done behind the
scenes with the coaching of the team has
worked and the part you play in that is
very rewarding.”
