clubhouse is a community where all
different groups come together to
meet up.
“The clubhouse is in need of
upgrading as it is in a poor condition
at present. I would be sad to lose
it however it would not stop us
continuing to play rugby as we
could adopt another local club as
our home after games if needed.
“We are currently in discussion
with Bridgend Council to extend
our changing rooms so that we can
accommodate a clubhouse near our
playing field. We have a lot of very
talented young players that we may
find difficult to keep if the lure of
money comes from other local clubs
chasing our players.
“Our ambitions are to hopefully
move clubhouses so that we can
secure a future for our children and
grandchildren to share in the rugby
history we have on display of the
families of yester years who played
the game in this village.
“We want to grow our player
base of women’s rugby - we
currently have under 50’s so who
knows, we may have a women’s
team in the future. Hopefully with
young talent coming through we
will be competing for success in
Division 1 in the next few seasons.”
