Rugby Club Magazine recently caught up with Club Representative Sam Allen to find out more. Atmosphere 2017 He told us, “The mood is very positive. Since our move to Ballards Ash back in 2013, our membership has continued to grow year on year, and generally we have a happy buoyant club. Our 1st XV have risen to the South West 1 Division and established themselves well at this level. We are running three regular senior teams and an occasional fourth, as well as two Colts teams and thriving teams at every Mini and Junior age level.” “Our 1st XV are currently sitting mid- table after a tough start to the season. Both our 2nd and 3rd XVs continue to defend their places in their respective leagues. Our Youth section is buzzing with many more players making the transition from youth to senior rugby. Our Colts teams have left local competitions in order to attract more competitive fixtures further afield and this has worked well for them. 10 Issue 76 In September we introduced a new initiative, in partnership with Supermarine RFC, to hold Girl’s Rugby training at our club for the first time. We developed a new team of girls aged 11 to 18, training together at Royal Wootton Bassett on Monday evenings. At the start of the season we launched our new club website - www.rwbrfc.club - managed by First Sports, providers of IT services to the RFU. The new site has helped us improve communication of club news, fixtures, and events throughout the membership and out to
