Bristol Imperial did a fantastic job for the past six years and brought the club back from a point where it was at an all-time low. “Also, our current chairman Gary Kitchen who was vice chairman and Aarons Shadow for the past six years and our Secretary and Treasurer Craig Pullinger who puts in numerous hours that the players never see, but he doesn’t mind as he isn’t the type to look for any credit. “We’ve had a good start to the season with it being our first season after getting promoted to Somerset Premier. We appointed Jed Hooper as player coach. He brings with him a wealth of experience from his time at Gloucester, Cinderford, Newbury and Old Redcliffians and he’s doing a great job. “Unfortunately, our first team captain Foxon Bradley broke his ankle playing sevens in America in July, (serves his self-right for a prop to be playing sevens!) so he’s not yet played any rugby this season. “We plan to build on our experience this season with hopefully a top four finish and look for promotion again next season up to Western Counties North and continue our player recruitment which has been excellent over the last couple of seasons. “We now have a great mini section with under 6,7,8,9 and 10s. We only started three years ago and we now have over 60 boys and girls every week running around under the guidance of Tim Dalton and Terry Kitchen.
