Ivybridge RUGBY FOOTBALL CLUB

Ivybridge RFC was first established in November of 1975 and state on their official website that they have been built around the primary objective , “ To Provide Rugby Union Football for all to the highest standards possible at minimum cost to the players ,” believing that , “ The support of Club members themselves and associates that have been and will become part of our great Club can only achieve this .”

Since being established they have gone on to put together a history of which they have every right to be proud and their current group of players will be keen to build on that . Whilst success is important to Ivybridge they are equally committed to creating a welcoming , family atmosphere for any visitors .
At present , the club is based at Crossin-Hand , Filham in Devon and their first team currently competes in the South West Premier League . They are led by the team of Chair Jim Burns and President Alan Knight and the club is looking to progress under their guidance .
So far this season , they have put together a record of four wins and six defeats from their ten matches . This has left them sitting in the bottom half of the table with twenty points on the board .
They will now be looking to string together a good run of results in order to quickly climb the table . As long as they are able to retain their current group of players and can perhaps make one or two quality additions they should be able to have a successful season .
One of the major positives of the team ’ s performances so far this season has been the attacking brand of rugby
