Jonathan Lewis of Gomer Printing recently spoke to Rugby Club Magazine about his positive association with
Newcastle Emlyn RFC. He told us, “I come from a local village near the club and started my playing career with
Newcastle Emlyn in 1979.”
“My main playing position was outside half and although I played for some other clubs over the years I ended my
career with the club when a back injury ended my playing days. During this time I spent six years with London Welsh
and also had a spell with Carmarthen Athletic.
“Over the years the club have continued to produce excellent players from their junior ranks and the committee have
helped provide outstanding facilities for our local community. Last season the teams played very well and it was great
to watch the high standard they competed at.
“Gomer press is a sponsor of the club and is celebrating its 125th year this year; we always try and help out the rugby
club when we can. I would like to wish everyone associated with Newcastle Emlyn RFC the very best of continued
success.”
