Lincoln FOLLOW US ONLINE TWITTER.COM/RUGBYCLUBMAG Lincoln RUGBY CLUB BY JOSEPH VERNEY Lincoln Rugby Club is on the up with four senior sides, including a ladies team, and a successful and growing minis and juniors section. The general mood down at the club’s home at Longdales Park is fantastic at the moment due to the great progress being made on the field, most notably the men’s 1st XV winning the Midlands Three East (North) title. After several seasons of finishing third and narrowly missing out on promotion, the 1st XV showed that they really meant business this time around Image courtesy of Lisa Wright 28 Issue 71 and won the league with four games to spare. A large contributing factor to this is the hard work of head coach Simon Green and the rest of his team behind the scenes. Coach Ross Tarnowski came up with a very successful pre-season training programme, which helped the team to hit the ground running right from the first league game. The style of play Green has got the 1st XV playing has been a joy to watch this season, but the players also deserve huge credit for their progress with their hunger and desire to succeed. Whilst the 1st XV have set the bar high with their title win, the progress of the other senior sides has also been a big positive. The second team reached the play-offs in their league and the 3rd
