Huddersfield seasons ago in bringing in that all age grade parents / carers should become full members and we hope this has helped develop this sense of community . This was re-enforced in the first part of the season with senior players coming down to coach a number of age grade sides on a Sunday morning .”
Facilities
“ We do have a fabulous club but there are always things we could improve . We need to improve the floodlighting on all the sport areas . With the strengthening of the female rugby section and full complement of senior men ’ s fixtures the changing facilities would need updating / expanding .
The club is looking into the possible addition of an Artificial Grassed Pitch or even smaller additional astro area . We also need to look at upgrading the astro pitch for the Hockey section of the club from a sand based to water based facility .”
Ambitions
“ Our short term ambition is to try and sign as many of our current squad as we can and then try and strengthen
from outside . I am sure fitness will again be a pre-season focus as we have a very difficult season ahead and want to be in a safe position in the league by Christmas .
Our ambitions are to become a wellestablished N2N side , to continue to field at least three full senior teams every Saturday , to run a full complement of female rugby teams and to make sure all members feel valued as part of a ‘ Community Rugby Club ’! We also need to make sure that we do all of the above on a sustainable financial business plan .”
