RUGBY FOOTBALL CLUB
Y
oung Munster RFC has been enjoying a fine season so far this time around
and will be looking to claim silverware as the campaign draws to a close.
Rugby Club Magazine recently caught up with Club Representative Glen Bake to
find out more about the good work the club has been carrying out.
Present
He told us, “The club as a whole is
working hard and eager to progress on
the pitch to lift silverware at all levels
from our seniors right down through our
youths and minis and many volunteers
to finish on a high at the business end of
the season.
Everyone’s focus and drive is to
achieve as much success and enjoyment of
what’s left of the season as possible while
supporting Ireland and Munster in their
respective competitions and it is with a
great since of pride at the club to see our
players performing with Ireland, Ireland
U20’s, Munster, Munster A, Munster
U20’s, Munster U18, Munster U16 and
the Munster Cadets. These players follow
in the long tradition of Young Munster
players receiving deserved honours at
province, country and Irish and British
Lions level.”
This Season
“This season so far has seen us
progress at all levels with all teams
competing at the top in their league
and cup campaigns. The hard work and
commitment of the players and coaches
is bearing fruit and creating a great buzz
about the place. It is our ambition to keep

and offer whatever support they need;
to cheer them on when they play in the
black and amber.”
Family
“Young Munster without doubt has
few rivals in all sport in Ireland as being
a community club. It is more than a
rugby club; it’s an extended family over
many years and each weekend from the
grandfather to the 6 year old mini rugby
player all the family are involved in a
rugby community that spreads far and
wide with supporters on a global scale
still in contact with the club. The whole
family gets involved in the club at every
level and all play their part both on and
off the pitch to make Young Munster
more than just a rugby club.”
Youth
“Youth rugby is the heart and soul
of the club where we build the next
generation of senior players, coaches,
committees, volunteers and loyal
supporters. Our youth base is an integral
