They are led by the team of President John Hibbit and Chair David Thorpe and the club is progressing well under their guidance. So far this season their first team has been in fine form, having put together a record of twenty two wins and just three defeats from their twenty five matches. This has left them sitting top of the table with one game left to play with 105 points on the board and their destiny in their own hands. Their final fixture is a tricky away match against Chosen Hill and they will be determined to come away with the victory. The league title would be a just reward for all of the hard work that has gone into making them a success and should provide them with the perfect platform from which to build for the future. One of the highlights of the team’s performances so far this season has been the attacking brand of rugby that they have been able to produce. This has been reflected by the fact that they have racked up 694 points at a rate of more than 25 per game. This will certainly have meant that any supporters attending their matches will have been well entertained and should encourage more of the local community to get behind the side in the future. This in turn has the potential to provide them with a valuable source of additional revenue which is particularly important in the current financial climate. Keynsham RFC is not a club to focus solely upon their senior section and this is reflected by the fact that they also have a thriving youth set up. This part of the club looks to provide young players from the local area with an opportunity to play the game in a safe and enjoyable environment whilst helping them to reach their full potential.
