etersfield RFC was first established in 1927 at the instigation of Frank Guy
who was a former pupil of Churchers College. The club became affiliated
with Hampshire Union in the same year and has established itself as a focus for
sporting and social activity in the local area.
They are based at Penns Place in
Hampshire and their first team currently
competes in the Snows Group Hampshire
League 1. They are led by the team of
Chair Stuart Barden and President Clive
Waller and have been progressing well
under their guidance.
This season, their first team has
enjoyed a campaign to remember having
recently secured the league title in
dramatic fashion and with a Cup Final
offering the chance of further glory. They
finished with a record of seventeen wins
and just three defeats from their twenty
matches to pip New Milton and District
by the narrowest of margins.
Winning the title is a superb
achievement for the club and is a just
reward for all of the hard work that
has gone into making it a success. They
