McDonald’s is proud to be supporting the
local community by providing sponsorship to
Banbridge Rugby Junior club which will go
towards the development of the club.
After significant investment from local franchisee John
McCollum, the McDonald’s restaurant in Banbridge
opened in September creating 100 new jobs for the local
area. Digital innovation is at the heart of the new restaurant
with self-order kiosks to improve the speed and ease of
ordering as well as giving people more time to consider
their food and drink choices. Table service is also available
in the restaurant, which aims to take the stress out of finding
somewhere to sit when carrying food, potentially with
children, bags and buggies.
Commenting on the partnership with Banbridge Rugby Club
Franchisee John McCollum said, “As a local businessman I’m
keen to ensure steady investment in the area and since the
restaurant has opened we have been immersing ourselves in
the local community. Our sponsorship of Banbridge Rugby
Club and other community groups is part of this and we
look forward to supporting the club over the coming years
and nurturing young talent to make sure they reach their full
