B erkshire Shire Hall RFC is based on Sonning Lane in Berkshire and their first team currently competes in the Berks / Bucks and Oxon Championship . They are led by the team of President Jerry Godfrey and Chairman Neil Evans and the club is looking to progress under their guidance .
The club is a fine example of a traditional rugby set up , representing the traditional values of the sport which make it so unique and enjoyable to many . They are committed to providing people with a chance to play social rugby whilst helping them to develop their skills and reach their full potential .
A major part of their set up is the superb social side to the club and they work hard to make sure that anyone visiting them is provided with a warm welcome . They are always keen to have new players along to the club and encourage anyone with an interest in the sport to get involved .
In the professional era it is great to see clubs such as Berkshire Shire Hall retaining this approach and it is vital for the identity of the sport to have these types of set ups .
