When I moved my business to St Clears I felt that sponsoring the rugby club would be a great way of gaining some good local exposure . These days I get along to most home games and have to say the lads have been playing very well this season . Hopefully another promotion is on the horizon . This will bring up our facilities to the next level and with planning now approved we aim to undertake the work ready for opening in September 17 .

Challenges / Ambitions
“ Rugby is always competing with other sports and we need to ensure that our coaching , facilities and ethos remains focused on delivering the game to the future players in the right manner i . e . development and fun being the main driver and ensuring with the support of the WRU and their local resources that we aim to be the best we can .
One of our main ambitions is to complete the proposed development on time and within budget . We will introduce U17s and youth rugby teams as soon as we are able . With a new senior coaching team at the helm this season , Michael Jones and Aled Davies , they have really stepped up our performance and have raised playing standards , thus we are keen to ensure we work with this coaching team for years to come and congratulate them and their squad in what has been our best ever year from a performance view point . Finally we are keen to maintain our relationship with many supportive local businesses .”

Jonathan Davies was brought up in Bancyfelin and played his first rugby at Under 8s for St Clears .
He made his senior professional debut for Llanelli Scarlets and made his first appearance for Wales at outside centre against Canada on 30th May 2009 . Davies has gone on to form a superb partnership with Jamie Roberts with the highlight coming in the 2011 World Cup when they helped the side to the semi-final .
Davies also was selected for the 2013 British and Irish Lions tour of Australia , featuring in the third test victory . He is part of the current Welsh squad at this year ’ s RBS 6 Nations and scored in their opening fixture against Italy .
