Caithness
Graham Gunn is an ex-player and sponsor of Caithness RFC . He recently told Rugby Club Magazine , “ After playing school rugby my work commitments took me away quite a lot so I never restarted my playing career until my early 30s when I joined Caithness in 97 / 98 .”
“ My main playing positions were either as a centre or winger , unfortunately an accident put a stop to my playing days and I finished my career around 2000 . Again work commitments have kept me away from going down to see the lads playing but I keep a close eye on how they are doing and the feedback is always very positive .
“ My wife Angela and I have a business , Autoparts of Thurso , and we like to support the club when we can . It is important to us to help the club move forward in their development . We would like to wish everyone associated with Caithness Rugby Club the very best of success for the remainder of the season . Stick in there lads !”
Eann McIntosh has a strong family connection with Caithness Rugby Club as he recently explained to Rugby Club Magazine , saying , “ I played most of my rugby down south with the West of Scotland and later on at Dumfries . My main playing position was 2nd row having played also as centre ; unfortunately knee ligament damage put an end to my playing career .
“ My sons have both played for Caithness since leaving school but games have been limited in the last few seasons due to work commitments , Stuart as 2nd row and centre and Blair as centre and full back .
“ I had pleasure in coaching at the High School as well as coaching the clubs U15s , U16s and under 18s side with the U15s winning the Caley league and the U16s lifting the Caley Cup in early 2000 . I also assisted in coaching the 1st XV on a few occasions as well as driving the club mini-bus on away trips ’.
“ The company I work for , Seletar , part of Asco World , have graciously sponsored the club for the past 4 years . It ’ s great to see the 1st team believing in themselves so much this season and I thoroughly enjoy attending all their home fixtures . I also help out when I can behind the bar having been the clubhouse convener in its 1st year .
“ I would like to wish everyone at Caithness Rugby Club all the very best for the rest of the season .”
