Peter Aird of club sponsor Kingdom Drilling recently spoke to Rugby Club Magazine about his positive association with Glenrothes Rugby club , saying , “ I switched from Football to Rugby at the age of 26 and discovered something came alive in me and I really enjoyed the release that rugby gave to me , something football wasn ’ t able to offer .”
“ I played up until the age of 52 , initially as No . 15 and then into the front row as loose head , something that suited my style of play , I wish I could have played longer . I have always been quite sporty and found combining my judo practices with my rugby was very helpful ; something I understand some professional players still do today .

Dave Bousie of club sponsor AM Phillip recently spoke to Rugby Club Magazine about his positive association with Glenrothes RFC , saying , “ I played some school rugby myself and when my son Jack came home from school with a flyer about what was going on and available at the rugby club I decided to take him along .”
